384 Days

This gripping piece of new writing follows the story of Molly, a patient in a rehab facility who tried to bring her late father back to life using magic. Molly’s laptop is the vessel in which she escapes into an outside world. In these moments, the stage would become hers and shift into a much darker atmosphere in contrast to the normal harsh lighting of the rehab centre. Centre stage was the grave, where the most intense moments happened like the attempted resurrection. I lit these moments with a singular shaft of light, casting gloomy shadows onto Molly’s face.
